What it means in practice

The booking links and availability widgets here go to GetYourGuide, a licensed online travel agency. If you book after following one, GetYourGuide pays me a percentage of what you spent, out of their margin rather than your pocket — you pay exactly what you would have paid going to them directly. Prices printed on this site are the “from” figures GetYourGuide displayed at the time of writing, and the widget beside them re-prices by date, option and party size.

What it does not mean

It does not buy a recommendation, and the shape of the site is the evidence. The advice I give most often is that the official self-guided ticket at operadeparis.fr is the cheap way to see the building, and I earn precisely nothing when you take it — the ticket prices page puts the official rates and the tour prices side by side for exactly that reason. Where a listing has a thin review record or a mixed one, the review says so: the ballet artist tour review carries its complaints in full, which is not how advertising works.

What I am not

Not the Opéra national de Paris, not the Palais Garnier, not a tour operator and not GetYourGuide. Official visit rates and rules quoted here are the Opéra’s published position at the time of writing, always attributed and hedged — confirm them before you travel. I never name the operator company behind a listing, I name guides only where reviewers named them first, and reviewer quotes at the reviews hub are verbatim or trimmed at sentence boundaries, never rewritten.
